Inappropriate ads in news article about plane crash

The CBC reported about a plane crash today. At the bottom, there was an ad, obviously auto-generated based on keywords in the story, for a discount flight with WestJet.
This one is not only inappropriate, but surely would be counter-productive as far as generating revenue: Who would want to consider buying plane tickets while reading a story about a plane crash?
